January 17th, 2004
The Monarchs 70's Bash Party definitely was a Huge HIT !
And this is how OUR January 17th Story starts...
Once upon a time around 4:00 pm there was a Joe & Jan who loved to celebrate their Anniversaries, soooo when this one came around for this Jan 19th (I know it's early) we thought we would coincide our Celebrating with the Monarchs 70's Night Bash and kill 4 birds with 1 stone... #1 Our Anniversary (24th), #2 The Monarchs 70's Bash, #3 my birthday is in January too ( 50th I know, who cares!), and #4 the recent announcement that our niece, Jessie, and her husband, Rob, are going to be proud parents. Soooooooo, along came a cool stretch limo from Grace Limousine with a great gal named Cindy driving and picked up Joe & Jan as well as Jessie & Rob, and good friends of ours, Joni & Richard. Being a good sport, Cindy agreed to put on a Monarchs Jersey and whisked us away to Cahoots for a great pre-game meal & beverages, then over to the Verizon to see the Monarchs SINK Portland 6-0 and then across the street to the Center of NH for the BEST MONARCHS PARTY of celebrating and dancing to the music of the band, Motor Booty Affair, along with the Best # 1 Fans in the AHL that you could imagine and the Coolest Players in the AHL, The Manchester Monarchs and the Monarchs Front Office Staff ! Now you know the story, now will come some pictures ....... Joe Z.
