GET RID OF THE DIVING RULE
VERY IMPORTANT !
LET'S PETITION THE AHL / NHL TO "DROP THIS NONSENSE RULE OF DIVING" ( which is tagged on with Hooking / Tripping penalties) & GET BACK TO GOOD HOCKEY !

Since when has the Verizon Wireless Arena and all the other AHL / NHL Arenas become SWIMMING POOLS with all these DIVING calls added by refs to Tripping or Hooking penalties? I, as are many other Manchester fans and fans throughout the AHL / NHL, am sick and tired of this extra penalty call of "DIVING" being tagged on to other penalties ! If the ref calls a hooking or tripping or whatever penalty, there should be no DIVING. The player either fell because of the penalty or there was no penalty. How can the Refs continue to call both penalties ? We pay to watch Hockey and this is not hockey. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ! If they want to call just diving, FINE ! But not both. They also shouldn't be cute and get around calling Tripping / Hooking along with Diving by disguising it with a penalty called "unsportsmanlike conduct".

AHL Booster / Fan Clubs to put this before all the Fans !
This rule doesn't only affect Manchester and its Fans, it affects all the AHL
and
NHL Teams and their Fans !

I urge the AHL / NHL to "Drop this nonsense rule of DIVING" tagged on to Hooking / Tripping penalties.
I will forward all the email messages / letters to the AHL Office and NHL Office of Gary Bettman to let them know how the fans feel regarding this Nonsense Rule ! Let's make a difference for the better and help keep the game of Hockey great ! Remember fellow fans, we are the ones paying to watch Hockey and this is not hockey ! Enough is enough !

The American Hockey Coaches Association Apparently Feels the SAME WAY !
The committee made diving a point of emphasis again this season after enacting the penalty two seasons ago. Diving - the act of embellishing a potential infraction to draw a penalty - has not been called consistently, in the committee's opinion.
