Message From & About The Webmaster, Joe Z.

     This is a constantly developing fan site, not officially connected to the Monarchs, LA Kings, Reading Royals or any of their booster clubs, that was created in the month of March 2002.  We get no bennies or special treatment from or access to the Monarchs.  We pay for everything we get just like all the other fans.  This website is funded solely by my wife Jan and I so as a result, we will have final say as to what gets posted or not in this site.

I will do my best to keep this site updated with the latest fan related info on the Manchester Monarchs all year.  During the games season, my wife Jan and I will be sitting in section 118 rooting for the Monarchs with all the rest of you fans!  Jan takes the Pics & Flics, I watch the game ;-)

So keep visiting the web site and get ready to root for the Monarchs in another great season of New Hampshire AHL / NHL hockey !!!

So, who is the # 1 Fan in this website and photos above?  It's me, the webmaster and owner, Joe Zalgenas.

After almost 15 years I retired as a NH State Trooper in 1994 due to another lower back injury that finally required a spinal fusion rods and all. The State Police does not hold on to damaged goods. Then, for the last few years I had been working 6 days a week as a Casual Postal employee in the Concord area, but the idea of working and not getting benefits or paid vacation like the postal Clerks or Carriers are given gets pretty hard to swallow after a while. (Almost 4 yrs). So I quit.  I am currently employed at a real cool company in Concord, NH... Jefferson Pilot.

Grew up in Cambridge, followed the Bruins at the Boston Gardens for years when I was a kid, but dropped them all together when they let Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito go in the 1970's.  Didn't follow any hockey for years until my wife Jan suggested we try following the Monarchs in their inaugural year season.  We tried a 10 pack, but after the first home game, we were hooked big time and landed up buying tickets to almost every home game throughout that year.  We smartened up in the 2nd year and were lucky enough to make it into full season tickets in the lower section.

So between Jan working at the REALTOR® Association and my working, and the after work activities, we still find time to make it to the Monarchs games, take notes, take photos, meet new and socialize with a bunch of great fans, as well as rallying the troops (fans) to support the Monarchs by maintaining this website... pheeeeww.

I can't please everyone with material sometimes given on this site, although I try.  If I ruffled any feathers over the years, I'm sorry.  I am not in competition with any other group or website pertaining to the Monarchs, so please don't let any misinformation of that nature keep you away from this site.  I have never proclaimed that I or this site is better than any other, despite comments made by some that I have.  It was mutually decided early on in the creation of this website that visitors should not mistake my website as an official site.  Thus, the disclaimers found on each page are to give no mistaken impression that this site is an unofficial site and not connected to any of the official websites related to the Monarchs, Kings or Royals.
